Mine was really stuck too! I also broke a puller. ended up cutting a big chunk out with a cutoff wheel then pulling it while heating it with a torch.

Caution! dont use too much heat... it will ruin the seal on the bottom of the steering box. i just replaced mine while i was in there though.

Good Luck getting yours off.

I took AzTJ's method when I did mine, but I used the puller and an air chisel/hammer to beat the snot out of the arm. Try it if you have access to one, you can't beat 150 taps/min

i didnt think of the air hammer. i soaked it PB blaster several times, i dont know when i started. i was scared to heat it b/c of the steering box seal (like yall mentioned).

im gonna soak a piece of string in PB blaster and wrap it up and try agian later this week hopefully.

if worse comes to worse ill try cutting. usually the destructive path is the first one that comes to mind for me.....this time it didnt, im disappointed in me. :D

keep the ideascoming if anyone else has anything to add....

the proper way to use the puller is to put tension on the pitman arm a little at a time. Then hit the pitman arm with a hammer. It doesn't even take much force to move the pitman arm . Then tighten it again and hit with hammer. Repeat until it falls off. Using an impact on the puller will only damage the puller beyond repair. I never use lube to pull the pitman arm off and have zero issues doing so. :)
