At the time I had dry socket, I thought so too! Until the Army got a hold of me, fractured a few bones at BCT and tore my ACL into non-existence.

That fractured hip was about equal to my recovery after my ACL reconstruction......The Dry Socket didn't come close. I never, ever want to hurt my knee or fracture my hip again!

And thank you for your Service!

Painting my S2000. I will need around 3 gallons, but wanted one extra just in case I need it for whatever reason. Remember, for a body of a car, you need 5-6 coats for a perfect durable finish, which is a lot of dip.

Oh, and as for the gallons, dipyourcar.com has some amazing colors. I'm doing either purple or lime green next when I get bored.

If you do it right & apply a minimum of 5 coats, it'll last til you decide to remove it.

Then you put on an EXTREMELY thin coat. I used almost 3 cans on my JK grill alone. A car takes approximately 20-30 cans, depending on size. A Jeep, assuming no hardtop will take approximately 25 cans to do properly, maybe 20 for a TJ. People use 5-6 cans for wheels alone. What you did is merely "colored" your Jeep, and you will have a fun time removing a single coat of plastidip.

I finally did my wheels on my 2012 JKUR with black Plasti Dip. I have to say I love them and I have gotten so many compliments in only the last day. Now to see how durable it really is...

Well I am heading out tomorrow to run some trails in the Rockies just west of Denver. There will be some boulder sections, some water crossings and some high altitude shelf roads. I will see how they hold up. They did withstand an automatic car wash yesterday just after I mounted them. So far so good. Worst case, I just peel it off and go back to the stock grey color.

The nice advantage to the Palsti-Dip is that you can easily peel it off if it gets damaged or if you don't like it. Not too sure you have that option with the bedliner.

I did not. They are just flat black with a very slight texture similar to a light powdercoat.

I actually went through three cans and about three hours. I did pull the wheels and did them in my garage after masking the tires off. I basically took my time and let the coats dry a bit between coats. All in all it wasn't too bad. The fumes weren't too pleasant though. While I was doing that Iwas fabbing up a bracket to mount my air compressor under the hood. So I was priming and painting that too.
