I did it on a warm sunny day, I just waited till it looked visually dry, maybe 15 min per coat. After about 5 coats I let it sit 4hrs before touching it. Mine turned out perfect

I know its probably been answered before but how did you get the paint out of the 'p' and 'e's in the logo? I want to do this to mine bad but the only thing I can figure to do is use a q-tip to remove it while its still wet in those letters.

Use a toothpick, it's what I used. Won't scratch the paint. Hope this helps

^^That looks really good. I've got a red JKU too and am planning to cover the hinges this summer. I might even just debadge the thing while I'm at it.

I plasti dipped my grill a couple of weeks ago and I just noticed that I must have had something hit it because some of it is coming off ... what's the best fix? I sprayed a single layer on it so the color wouldn't show for now, but if it looks like crap, I'm going to peel and do it over...

*EDIT - It was in the shop the other day... I might have been them! UGH the thought...

I'm thinking about dippin' my hinges. Has anyone had any issues with the dip when taking your doors off? Or are there some precautions I need to know beforehand?

Finally, 2 days got through 28 pages lol. My YJ needs a new paint job all together. Before I had seen MickYJ, I wanted to do the same thing with the raised portion of the hood. My Jeep is red also but the hood is the worst part that needs new paint. Does anyone know if I do the whole hood with red Plasti-Dip then do the raise portion with black, can I mask on the dry Plasti-Dip for the black portion or would that mess it up. (after it is all dried of course)

Also, should I just save the money and get an actual paint job or if I got the whole car kit, would it last awhile on my Jeep? I have also thought about doing the whole Jeep in Monstaliner but not sure if I want to be stuck with that.

All your Jeeps look amazing btw!

I wouldn't put tape over the Plasti dip... It could potentially peel off. Most certainly it will
