I'm going with a Billet Wrangler....so it should be a pretty nice contrast.

You might not be able so see this one since it is hosted on another forum...but here is a black 2013 Sahara JKU with plasti-dipped wheels.

These wheels look great in black. I'd love to see how some larger tires would look on them, I'm guessing it would be sweeeeet

I PD'd my wheels today as well, since it was unusually warm outside.

It took a really long time since I just have the one jack, but it was easily worth it. I want to get the door and hood latches next, and whatever that piece at the lower edges of the windshield is called.

Dude! Looks great! Jeep sure is coming along. You should body color match the grey bumper insert.

Hey, thanks man. The bumper insert is the next thing on my to-do list. Someone else suggested that as well on another thread, and I thought it was a great idea. This is my first jk, and I appreciate all the help and advice I'm getting here.

Yeah, plasti-dip it or simply remove them. Removing mine was literally the first thing I did.

Panthermark is correct...it's just easier to remove the inserts IMO...Also I think your Jeep looks great the way it is..don't go overboard with the dip... It could prove to be too much. Of course you could always remove it if you don't like it.

He's not thinking of dipping it, he was thinking painting it Commando Green to match the jeep.

True Story.

I want to PD the door and hood hinges for sure. I really like the way it looks on other jeeps. I'm kind of wanting to try PDing the flares black to emulate the sport and the ruby. The body coloured flares are fine, but the black is more iconically jeep, imo. I plan on taking the black PD off the grill when I get a aftermarket black front bumper as well.

Indeed it is. I always rep Konohagakure and the Tardis on my vehicles. It just seems like the right thing to do.

That's awesome! I didn't see that! Way to represent Konohagakure!

Did you spray yours or dip it? I'm noticing it isn't going on that great with the spray.

Plasti dipped the inside of my hardtop this past weekend. Took a long time, but well worth the time and effort. Looks great in the jeep!

Snapped these quick with my phone. Trust me, they don't do it justice. Will see if I can get better ones tonight.

Thanks all! Took 5 cans and a lot of patience. Wedged index cards inside the window gaskets and papered the rest to tape it off. Took all of the hardware off to spray under it. First coat of plasti-dip was about 50% coverage, second was 75%, third was 100%. Did a light 4th coat and some minor touch up. Wish I took pics after each coat. It was a great project for under 40 bucks. You just HAVE to be patient.
