I just played with this stuff this weekend on a few tools for practice. Noticed alot of things can get stuck to it. Example grass trimmings. Anyone who has done their grill have an issue with unwanted debris sticking to it?

Anyone ever put a coat of clear gloss over it? Not sure what you'd use, Krylon fusion or Rustoleum gloss. Just so that loose items fall off easier with a wash?

How well does this stuff hold up in a hot, sunny environment. I don't wanna spray my grill only to have a gummy mess when it's in the upper 90s this summer.

I didn't do my grill but did all 5 tires and it hits 100+ in GA frequently in the Summer. I have had no issues.

I have tested it to over 250 degrees (exhaust tip). No issues and no gummy mess.

I've seen several post where people have dipped their doors hinges. How does it work in the actual joint of the hinge, seems like it would tear when you open the door?

When I did mine I opened the doors while the plastidip was still wet. No issues and its been on for over 6 months.

opened doors 15 minutes after last coat was put on to separate hinges. also gently ran razor across where I wanted dip/tape to separate from hinge, just after spray of last coat. should have removed tape after each spray.

No, each spray re-liquefies the layer underneath. You just need to pull the tape off as soon as you apply your last coat (while it's still wet.)

I just ordered a couple cans of black and red. I'm gonna experiment with a few subtle accents on my Anvil 10A. I'll post pics as I go.

Quick question; when you dip something like the Jeep emblem how long do you wait before you peel off the overspray areas?

If it's warm out, park it in the sun, eat lunch, then remove. 20-30 minutes is plenty for overspray. If you are talking about the thick area around the area you sprayed 45 is safe.

YES there is a solution. Use the Plastidip glossifier if you want it to wash off easier.

It took 13 cans roughly and two of the liquid cans to roll onto the hood to eliminate the "striping" you get from spraying.

What color is your jeep underneath? I would be tempted to plastidip my gecko all black to commit a robbery and then peel it all off!

Glossifier...Haven't noticed that in any store. Perhaps I just looked right over it.

You'll likely have to buy it online

I know WalMart has the glossifier for Plasti-Dip. I saw it the other day in there.

He did the stubby mod. If you order the mod kit from Rough County (like mine), they include the directions on how to do it. Not sure about other carriers. Here is a blog of pics.

I did my rims today on my CJ. I absolutely hated them (previous owner). Didn't think of snapping pictures until after I already did the left side. Completely happy with how they turned out.

After
