You want to pull up any tape as soon as you're done spraying. Don't let it dry with the tape on.

I pulled it off but not fast enough I guess. I need to lay it on thicker and put it off immediately.

You have to get the tape off while it's still wet. And if it's hot when you spray it you can't be fast enough so do it when it's a little cooler outside if you can. When I did mine as soon as I spayed the last coat I pulled the tape. I was almost too slow but it was about 85 in the shade. Another option is pull the tape slowly and have a razor blade handy if it starts to pull the dip and just cut it before it does.

Just dipped the vents, grab bar and the interior panel
Of the doors. Dippin the hinges black right now with the doors off should give a cool contrast from the tan hinge when on vehicle. So giddy

Looks great! Did you take them off to dip them or just cover up the brakes?

Does anyone know if my armor all tire spray will mess up the plastidip?

In my experience I would stay away from tire spray. Especially on dip. If you do use it make sure the dip is fully cured.

Removed grill and gave it approximately 4 light coats (15 minute gaps in-between AT LEAST or until completely dry). I also took of windshield brackets (easy remove) and did the same. Clean area before installing again (suggested). I will blend really well, however, it will need your assistance.

I decided to go with the gray, I feel that it matches the paint job that the sun gave my fenders.

Armorall messes up everything, so I would imagine it sucks for plastidip as well. Use vynilex.

Ok, don't judge.... I wanted to use it to give my jeep "angry eyes", that way I could take it off easily later. Anyone know if the heat from the headlights will have a negative effect on it?

I have heard of people using vinyl to do that.

No it won't affect it at all. People dip their exhaust tips, which get MUCH MUCH hotter.

I don't see why not. Just clean it well and go to town. I haven't seen anyone here do it though. I assumed anyone with a bodycolored top wanted one, so they are not going to dip it.

Not at all. As long as you do light coats, it will blend accordingly with both sides of the crease. It is not like actual paint that "blobs" everything together.
