Okay, I've read through about 20 pages of this thread and haven't seen it mentioned.... Has anyone dipped their hood bumpers? By hood pumpers, I mean the rubber stoppers on top of the hood.

They are made of rubber, so I wanted to see if the 'dip would adhere, and come back off later...
Thanks

Well, I did the raised section on my hood, and it included them the tie down bar and the windshield sprayer.

I like it as well! Do some more red accents. The Rubicon decal would look awesome in red, in my opinion.

Thanks guys. I'm going to look into getting a new rubicon decal to match. Hopefully the logo holds up well.

I have had mine for over 2 years and it still looks brand new. I have dipped my track wheels on my sports car that took a beating from ceramic dust, and it was still fine. I have dipped an entire car and it looked perfect a year later. Plastidip doesn't peel unless the installer does something wrong.

I Never have. My Jeep has been done for 2 years, and my Expedition has been done for over 3 years. I had to touch up my rockers once in all that time. Stuff is awesome !!

And all the trim and wheels on my Expedition...

Let me ask two questions. One the crap is extremely sticky so when you wash it you can't dry it very well? Two can't hit it with high pressure?

Mine isn't sticky at all, and my Expedition loves the mud, so I high pressure wash it all the time. I wonder why you are having such problems. Maybe a bad batch? I use a minimum of 4 coats on everything.

Possibly. Is there a certain brand? And what prep work do you do? I have prepped good I though! I used 3 or 4 coats can't remember now

Plastdip is the brand, and all I did was wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol before I sprayed it on.

Plastidip is the brand. You can pressure wash it all day long. It's easy to spray, easy to repair, and easy to remove. It's like magic.
