I plasti dipped my wheels about a month ago and the road salt and snow haven't damaged the coating. Hell, I powerwashed the entire rig and really blasted the wheels. Stuff holds up amazingly. No peeling or discoloration at all. I used four cans on all five wheels. Took about 5 coats each wheel to make a nice thick layer. And I didn't bother to take the wheels off. Just taped up luggs and brakes and went to town after spraying some brake clean on wheels. Super easy.

I think it's more a "if you modify your wheel/tire and then notice something weird while driving, get it rebalanced". I mean, the balance weights are only a few grams, it doesn't take much to unbalance something spinning at 60-70 mph. That's why people always recommend giving the jeep, and especially the wheels, a quick hose off after mudding, just to keep things working properly and without issue. it might not destroy your jeep, but hey, it might also cause some shimmy. no real solid answer other than modifying the wheels can potentially change the ride quality

Just masked off a square about a inch away from the emblem all the way around. Did about 4-5 coats and just peeled it away. For the inside of the E's and P, I just took a toothpick, picked at the middle until it got a hole in the middle of the plasti, then just rolled the toothpick and it pulled it all out. Not hard at all.

Stupid question but this is something I want to do but don't have a jack. I'd like to do this without taking tires/wheels off can you explain???
Yeah, u can def do it with the tires on the vehicle, u just need to tape off all of the break components behind the rim and then get to work.
