So, I am going to try and tell you a quick story so that what happened to me this weekend will NEVER happen to you by thinking twice about riding doorless, or without a top with your dog in car.
This weekend there was a hot rod event in Ocean City Maryland. I brought my Jeep down and decided to take a little cruise with my doors off and windows removed with my pooch. I tied him down via his collar (he is growing rapidly so I have not invested in a harness yet) to the back seat so he can enjoy the loud cars and the girls that admire him. I give him just enough space to look out the window, but not enough to be able to hang out. Right before I made the turn, I noticed he was laying down and decided to whip it to make the light. Well, I am not sure what happened, but, the next thing I know, some guy was running out into the street to stop me. He yelled "your dog" so I stopped immediately to find that my dog was in the street. I realized I did not make a smart decision, so no need to bash. Just be careful and really take the time to make sure your dog is effing SECURE! He escaped with a couple of scratches and got up immediately. I took him home, cleaned him up, and we took a nap together as I almost killed him with cuddles. As I said before, I did not make a smart decision, so please, learn from my mistake. I could have killed my best friend.
