Looking to get a 2011 2 door jeep wrangler. Does the front seat come forward enough by sliding and bending forward so I can put a car seat in and out of it? Thanks for any help!

My wife says (just by looking thru the locked door) that it is not possible. I told her the passenger set has to bend forward and slide forward enough to put the cars eat onto the base that would stay in ther all the time.
I just traded in my 2012 jk for a 2013 jku. Don't even think about a 2 door with children. Tilting and moving the passenger seat is a pain in the a$$. I can't imagine doing it while watching a young child. The amount of extra room and quality of ride is fantastic. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Get the unlimited. Good luck

I only have one grandchild and we only have her on sundays so I don't keep her car seat in the jeep all the time. I tried her seat in a 2 door demo I had and that was my deciding factor for us to get an Unlimited even though my wife and I could get by with a 2 door.

I agree with the above post! Just last week I traded my 2 door in for a 4 door after a year of owning it. I was tired of my kids climbing over the seats, sides, back, and etc before I could get to the seat to move it up. And anytime we babysat my niece it was doable to get the seat in there but we ran out of room quick. If this will be a daily driver go ahead and do a 4 door, but if it's a weekend vehicle I think you can manage.

I have a 2 door with a 6 year old, Only had the Jeep for 4 months. Booster seat fits just fine and the kid get's the front seat folded down when getting out before I get to the passenger door to get her out. It's not a pain in the ass to me, but then again, my budget never fit a 4 door,so it wasn't an option.

As others have stated, it's doable but the 4-door is really a far better option for a "family car" than a 2-door, no doubt about it. IMHO the 2-door is really a 2-seater for all practical purposes. If you need to use the back seat as a seat, you have bupkis for cargo room in a 2-door, in addition to the inconvenience but doable access to the back seat. Load the kids into the back, and where does the diaper bag, toys, wife's purse, cooler and groceries go?

I went with the 4 door because of the kids. I hated lifting the baby's infant seat right from day one. ( my 10 pounder!) Even now it can be a pain hes 13 months. I couldn't imagine doing it in a 2 door. But I still would never get rid of my jeep it will only be a pain for a short time
