Exclamation plenty (too much) condensation

so we drove the '05 Jeep Wrangler X (Willys Edition) home, about a 2 hour drive and my better half noticed what we assume is water dripping, very slowly but still, on her leg & the floor. checked it out while getting gas and behind the glovebox and underneath there's a excessive amount of condensation, granted we had the AC running pretty hard and it was on the circulate setting. emailed the dealer but just wanted to throw it out here as well...

should we worry ? or can we prevent it ? or is something broke ?

there's a drain hose sticking out of your firewall. short piece about 1-2 inches long. Somewtimes the moisture will "blow back" into cab. Common, i think, happened with my 02 ad I found some articles on it back then, Add a "L" shpe tube/hose to the end of this and it will stop coming back in ..

With humidity and temps around here and running wraparound jammer bikini and duster when it rains--and a/c common problem for me. I just attribute it to the weather lack of totally sealed cab. I figure no big deal no carpet drain plugs pulled---beach towel for the drips for passenger. I get condensation on the top of the dash/vent outlet also.

I have the same issue in my 02 Sport. If you get underneath the passenger side look up on the fire wall and you'll see a small hose poking out. That's it. My next service I'm gonna do mine.

Mine sweats too... but it sweats right on the dash above the center vents. Gets hot as hell when the heater is on too.
06 Rubi with some sort of double ended, chrome knobbed, cross threaded, infinitely adjustable, frequently breakable, worn out flammywhammers zip tied onto it.
It used to be a jeep thing... til that sh!t broke!

before adding the elbow, be sure to clean out the drain line with a piece of wire or something....they get clogged from dust and grime....and usually, if you'll just rod the hose out with the wire it'll stop dripping in the cab....that only happens when the drain hose is stopped up and the condensation pan under the evap coil is full....

carpet still in there. Just so you know it comes out real simple, if you wanna air dry it if it gets to wet in the floor. I've just completely removed mine

Adds a bit of heat w/o carpet, but much easier to drain the water, when it rains or the a/c leaks and you have easy access to the drain plugs

carpet is for cars it says so in the name. Linex the tub and call it a day. X2 on the heat though. I just hang my feet out with the doors off.

Once upon a time I had time and money, then I bought a Jeep. Now I have no time and no money. And I lived Happily Ever After.
