Thumbs down Poison Spyder Customs

Hey is it me or are they unreliable on thier shipping dates?

Ordered the Rocker Knockers on 1/26. On 1/29 I received an e-mail update that they would ship around 2/2.

I called on the 7th to follow up and was told that they were due back from powder coat but would be shipping on Friday 2/9.

I figured it was going to be a few weeks when I ordered. But they committed to 2/2? Today came and went with no update.

Funny part is that I ordered a Poison Spyder steering box skid plate off e-bay from 4X4 Group Buy on 1/21. They can't get a delivery date out of Poison Spyder either.

I don't know, when I ordered my trail corners off their website, they shipped two days later and were here in less than a week.

That's what I'm starting to think. I have no problem waiting if they need to fab the parts. It's the BS of being strung along with make believe ship dates or no communication at all. Not the way to run a business!

I am a PSC dealer too, and I get the same thing you do, but we have to realize that alot of people and big dealers are buying thier stuff also. Yes, its poor control on thier part, and I honestly believe that they grew too fast, but they have a great product, at great prices. The last time I had an order for 5 sets of comp cut crusher corners, I was told that the metal was "too wavy" for production and thats why they were late.. A crock of BS, I am sure of it but I usually tell all of my customers the same thing about the wait. Good luck.

I have found that this is the rule instead of the exeption in the "semi-custom" (most parts still bend/made by hand) aftermarket industry. I have had similar experience with 3 different shops, the most recent with BTF. I always try to order stuff when I don't need to have the Jeep on the road for a while, so that I don't go nuts waiting. Good luck with your parts!

If it makes you feel any better, I had two sets of comp corners sent, before I had the right set up. Be patient, it is well worth the wait. I know that in this day and age, people want everything done yesterday..........welcome to the real world!!!!! YJ parts, are not mass produced, and are most probably made, by the order. Be happy that at least they won't send you junk, just to make you happy. JMO.

So today's update after calling Poison Spyder is that the Rock Sliders should ship by Wednesday of next week!

Still no update on the web page for an order that is six weeks late. What a way to run a business!

Still hoping you all were right and these things were worth the wait!

I just sent puke nuts, I mean Cliff, a personal message, concerning your order. I asked them very kindly, if they were going out of business, just say so. It is one thing to humiliate me, after spending thousands on their products. It is a totally different thing, to piss off other customers. Let us see, where this gets us...............

Axel, Clifton and AJ are great people. I can feel the pain they have with "growing pains", with my new web site. It has made me get up 2 hours earlier just to get to the shop to process the internet orders from the previous day. BUT. One of my main pet peeves are lying to customers. I have never, nor ever will lie to customers. It may not be exactly what you want to hear, but its gonna be honest. I wont sell someone something they dont need, and in my mind, the truth is always better than "just a LITTLE lie" Clifton and AJ have so much on the plate right now, they grew way faster than they ever expected to grow, and they didnt plan ahead for it. I hopefully can see ahead, and I hopefully will be able to plan for it. I just wish that they would tell the truth, because they do have an awesome product that the customer cant really go anywhere else for....right???

I am usually, a very patient person. After building my YJ, with all of Poison Spyders armour, I would think that a person could at least get a letter from them. Even an e-mail, would suffice. Thanks for choosing our products..........etc. I absolutely love their products, and am only dissapointed with their lack of communication. I have sent them pictures, e-mails, and still to this day, have never heard from them. What ever happened to customer appreciation? That is what is lacking here. I don't expect them to put me in JP magazine, but a simple thanks, for choosing our products, would go a long way with me. That is all I have to say about PS.

Foot note: My email to them concerning your order, was ignored......who would have thought?

By the way Joe, I got a lot more concern, and techical support from Jeremy, at Rockkrawler, that is what I am talking about. I purchased his product, and he was very supportive of it working correctly, for me. That goes a long way, in my book. Shoot, even your concern was incredible.............and you haven't even laid hands on my YJ. Support, and appreciation, go a long way, with most people.

I hear that a lot about PS. I have their tube fenders on my jeep and I waited 3-4 weeks for my stuff. They really do make great stuff, really stout, just have to be patient. If you are in a hurry for something, I would probably advise you to shop somewhere else. But trust me, it is well worth the wait.

Well I patiently waited past the last updated shipment date of Wednesday, March 14th, before I called yet again.

Today's story is that the YJ stuff came in with "F"ed up logos so they scrapped them, ordered new metal, and will have them out in a couple of weeks.

This is really a bullxxit way to run a business. No communication with the customer and basically NO REGARD for their customers. You would think that when an order has been in house since January and they are running this late they could at the very least update the order status on the web site or drop me an e-mail. But no, I have to continue to call?

I figure I have waited this long what the hell is two more weeks, but I'm reaching the end of my tolerance rope.
