Popping front suspension

Hey all,

I purchased a 2013 10th anniversary Rubicon 4 door with 5,000 miles on it about three weeks ago. It has a 2inch Mopar lift. Got to take it on the first somewhat long drive today (about 2hr 15min one way). On the way back, with about a half hour left, I started noticing a popping noise every time I turned the wheel to the right (a loud clunk/pop at one location in the turn). Once turned past that location there was no popping and nothing happens when turning to the left. I then reached the bumpy gravel road portion of the trip and noticed the clunking occasionally on certain large bumps. We did encounter some large pothole/rough road patches on the highway going 75mph so I'm thinking something might have loosened up. It's pretty discouraging considering the hefty price tag and my naive perception that the Jeep would be rock solid (especially in the suspension) and tough.

I'm going to get under the front end in the morning and see if I can pinpoint the location. (Pretty sure it is near dead center of front end). Let me know if you have any ideas or if this happens often. Thanks.

Check the pitman arm, drag link and tie rod ends for play. It could also be a loose steering stabilizer.

You will probably get more responses in the JK Tech Forum.

Maybe your coil spring is making that noise? My spring is making a clunking noise or popping noise if I hit a bump or make a turn. My spring on the driver side is not sitting right after my last offroad adventure. Id jack up one front tire and shake the jeep and see if you can recreate the same pop.
