Power stering issues

Got stuck in deep clay last night, now my power steering will not work in idle. Seems to work fine once I give it power (even if not moving). Could I have damaged something or could there be clay build up under the jeep? It was bottomed out in the clay. Any help Pls, tks Ron

Welcome to the forum?

If it doesn't work meaning it is hard to turn the steering wheel then maybe there is some clay in the area of the tierod or drag link joints that is creating additional load the power steering needs to overcome.

Have you looked underneath the front end?
