Preserving Ride Quality

I have a 2013 JKUS and I would like to preserve the on-road ride quality. I plan on getting a 3.5" suspension lift and 35" tires. I called 2 different 4x4 shops and was given 2 different opinions as to which lift would preserve the stock ride quality.

I was told to get a rubicon express kit or AEV kit.

What's your opinion?

Thanks

I wouldn't trust a 4x4 shops opinion. I've read generally good things about AEV, however reviews can't always be trusted. I'll let the JK owners help you out.

With 35 's and 3.5 lift your ride quality will go out the window, no matter what you get. I don't care what anyone says, ride quality suffers with lift and large tires. Just how it is in all the lifted trucks i've ridden in.

Yeah, that's true......I'm just looking for the best on-road ride quality.

Your ride quality does not have to suffer because of a lift and tires. You can definitely improve it over stock.

Thanks guys! I actually thought that there was going to be a big debate about what brand produces the best on-road ride quality.

I'm going to disagree with that one. I've owned five JKs now; two have remained stock, and three have been lifted. One had a 3" Teraflex long arm lift with ICON reservoir shocks. Another had a 2.5" Teraflex short arm lift with Teraflex shocks. And the final has a 3.5" AEV lift with Bilstein reservoir shocks. The 3.5" AEV lift with Bilstein shocks is better than stock. The two Teraflex lifts were not as good as stock though (we're talking on road ride quality here).

My TF 2.5 lift with Fox 2.0 IFP shocks and 35" tires ride very well on the road. Just dont put to much air in the tires.
