I found a set of 4 used 33/12.5/15 ProComp MT's for $150. I'm supposed to meet the guy this weekend to get a look at them. Seller states they are a few years old and have 40-50% tread left and no cracked/broken lugs and no 'known' patches/plugs. He's running 2 of them on his rig right now. He said the other 2 he has were aquired recently and history unknown.
Anyway, all I'm after is a spare set for weekend trails, hunting lease and occasional DD. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. What do you guys think?
IDK for sure... But doesn't sound like a bad deal. I might do it if I needed them for just messing around like you want them for. And new they cost about $165ea.
Kinda what I was thinking. I've just never bought used tires before. I will be using them to drive hwy speeds when headed to the hunting lease. All I know to look for is tread, cracks, patches, plugs, and dry-rot. Gues there's not much else to it.
FYI they are about an inch shorter than BFG's in the 33 flavor.
One of my buddys bought a set and took them back after he saw mine with 10k on them were taller.
