Pros and Cons of two seats vs. four seats

Hey guys I'm looking at getting my first wrangler and was wondering if ya'll had some advice from experience on 2 seats vs. 4 seats. I am looking at a couple different used YJs and most have a full soft top with back seats but one that I really like has no back seat and a wrap around cab soft top and toneu. I am a single guy but my friends and I go out all the time. Do you think I will regret not getting the extra seats or will the extra cargo room and smaller enclosed cab outweigh the lack of seating? I just don't want to immediately have to buy a full soft top and seats because that would put this particular Jeep out of my price range.

They all have seats that are removable. You sure that the one with only the front, the back was not removed? Even if the hardware is missing it would be an easy buy to add it and a seat

At least you don't have to worry about hauling your friends around all the time. Check the junkyard for a wrecked wrangler and pick up a back seat from there if you decide you want or need it.

But make sure to clean the blood off of it first.

If I was still single and had no kids, 2 door all the way.

But this was the only way back to Jeeping, so here I am with a JKU riding the bumpy paved roads to baseball practice, bounce u. Maybe if we have time, home depot, bed bath and beyond, and olive garden. FML. lol.

Frank the tank!

It was removed, and yes I could get a new backseat but it would be uncovered so I would have to get a new top. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot with my limited budget, know what I mean?

I think having a back seat is important. Also, if you get the one without, does it have seat belts already, or would you need to get those.

On the other hand, if the one without is the one you want.... Just inform backseat passengers that they need raincoats. HeHeHe

With only 2 seats you don't have to worry about being tagged as the designated driver for the group.

Just get the Jeep you want and put a back seat in it. You will still be able to fold down the rear seat and cover it with the tonneau cover when your not using it. Soft tops and rear seats are easy to get and cheap. Pretty sure Rugged Ridge sells a rear seat for only $200. Just make sure you got the hardware for the seat belts so no one flies out when you hit a bump

My experience is that if you're going to have your top off most of the time, most people dont want to ride in the back anyway, especially at high speeds, because of the wind...pansies. So, that being said, 2 seats would be plenty. And like they said above, you can always buy another seat and hardwear for fairly cheap. Hope it helps.

I love my backseat, but my pups are typically the only ones that ride back there

i picked mine up similar to this one, and once i decided i wanted a back seat i spent $300 total. sounds like alot but i talked to people on WF and i got a back seat for $25, the brackets for $10, and a hardtop for $250. get the one with the 2 seats, and if you dont like it just do what i did and search for deals
