I'm in the southeast, and I been wanting to purchase a new rubicon (2dr),but the choices seem to be limited. Most dealers don't want to budge off the price any,but to be honest I haven't found one I like.I want a hardtop, automatic, black interior, not one of those with the same body color all over.I am about ready to just give up and find something else.Rubicons are either white, black,or soft top and I can't see spending that kind of money on something with a tent over the top.Atlanta has several, but their all soft top,or solid color,or a call of duty. I did find a dark green with all the options, which the color would be fine, but they never got back to me.If you custom order one,or if the dealer has to find you one somewhere any deal you might have got is out the window. If anybody has a suggestion where to check please let me know, but like I said they got to be able to deal a little. Thanks in advance
I believe there is a way to check dealer inventory on the internet. I just did it for a G m product on the GM web site and I got inventory for about 100 mile radius.
Yeah I did that, but the jeep site is not that great.it doesn't matter what you put in the search, it shows every dealers complete inventory.it breaks it down as far as wrangler, but thats it.I emailed jeep, and told them their search engine sux. What good does it do to build your jeep and search if it not going to cull everything else. Everybody has a arctic model or call of duty, the arctic is not even a ruby. Go to jeeps site and search you'll see what i mean. They just want you to buy something, they don't care if its not what you want. Just pushing their inventory, hoping you'll find something else. Well its starting to work I'm going to look at a GMC today, if jeep is going to sell hardtop rubys like they show on their site, they need to make sure their dealers get them. Why advertise something you don't have on the market.
you need to call them. I have bought 3 jk's from him. Most of them don't get on the web before they are sold. Guy sells more jeeps than anyone in the country. You do know how to use a phone right?
What is a phone ? They must get sold before someone knows they have them for sale. Not sure where they keep them at, but its not on there lot ! Must be in area 13 or Ed's house. Do I need some kind of password, what I see on the net is what I seen on the lot. I should be near Atlanta around the first week of April,I'll swing back thru. Its so strange they have a internet sales guy,but they don't post them on the internet, and the guy that emails me back doesn't know nothing about them either.I bet he is the number one salesman of the year. Talking to a sales guy on the phone is about as bad as driving on their lot. Most will not let you get out of the vehicle before they ask for your number,do you have a job,are you going to trade this, during all this you have to breathe the smoke off his Marlboro reds,so you end up going on sunday to look, so you can actually look and breathe even though its thru the windows or look on the net,you do have internet right? . BTW I have checked with over 20 dealers and they all said they were the #1 Jeep seller in the country, some even had a award. Most of this crap is propagandy,to lure the customer, and what ever you want no matter how much time you spent researching or choosing a color body style and other options,if he doesn't have it,he'll change the subject and try to sell you what he has. They are just programmed that way, their job is to sell, thats it! Besides I have several good prices already, just not crazy about the solid body color, and I have yet to talked to them by phone, I dealt with the internet salesman. They all told me they could get anything I wanted ,but it would not be as good a price. Thanks if I ever get a phone, give me a call.
this is the the reason I got a TJ and am building it the way I want it.
Hey man, I understand that. I have never seen so few choices on a, in stock vehicle. Guess if you want one like you want you have to build it. Jeeps web site is about unless. Dealerships are getting more like a walmart,or home improvement store, you buy whats on the shelf,or they can special order what you need.Jeep is pushing that sahara arctic model, and the call of duty rubicon. Guess somebody wants one,but I can't see paying in the mid 30's for a jeep with footprints on the fenders,or 40k for one with a video game theme. I'm ready to give up,and get something else. Can't see paying that kind of money,if its not what I want, and can't see paying a arm and leg for a dealer to order me one, when he has 20 sport models dry rotting on the lot. Thanks for your suggestion, about building the way you want it, your TJ is probably the way most people would want it. To bad Jeep can't see that. Thanks again !
