Quadratec used parts trend?

I found this forum after googling this issue - the thread was closed... so I thought I'd open a new one

I ordered a set of 4 shocks from Quadratec. The rears were fine - sealed box, brand new, as expected.

The fronts... not so much. They were already assembled - greasy... paint chipped - they were clearly installed before (and the Skyjacker stickers missing! )

So I complained. When I buy a NEW product... I expect a NEW product. Who knows what happened to these or why they were returned?

I just opened the box containing the replacements they sent me (after apologizing, saying how this never should have happened...)

Inside were 2 re-sealed boxes

Inside those re-sealed boxes... were shocks in WORSE condition than the ones they were replacing!

I'm detecting a trend here... I bought a lot through them - never a problem. But that good will is fading fast.

Give them another call, explain that you have seen more about this on the interweb and request that they have someone specifically check to be certain that you won't be getting a third set that are previously installed.

No need to be sorry about it, you can't deny your experience. For it to happen once is bad enough, much less twice. I would call them and get to the bottom of it. I have only bought Jeep parts from Quadratec because they are right up the road, so if there were an issue, I'd drive up there and make sure it got handled face to face. But not everyone has that luxury. If they aren't doing you right on a regular basis, I'd go elsewhere.
I ordered a Jeep t-shirt with my first order form them, and they sent the wrong one. I liked the one they sent almost as much, so I just kept it instead of going through the hassle. If it were a part, I would have been right on the phone with them. I also bought a iPod interface cable from them on the recommendation of their tech on the instant chat service. I was told that with the radio I had, all I needed was the cable since I couldn't get a clear answer from anywhere else. So I buy the cable only to find out I also need the $250 uconnect kit and the $75 service from my dealer to activate it. Basically meaning the tech didn't know what the hell he was talking about. So I now have a cable that I don't know what I'm going to do with yet (get the whole kit or just keep using the AUX input). So, my first impression is a little mixed, but my parts got here next day.

Weird...I've bought quite a few things to them and not had any issues.Of course I've never bought suspension items yet, just mostly cables, bikini top parts, etc... I'd say call them again and see if they'll work it out.

LOL.

This isn't the first time I have heard about this from them.

What are the odds...

I went out and opened the box that my sway-bar links came in. One was bagged, the other wasn't. Different manufacturer, slightly different length, and missing the mounting bolt.

Dude at Quadratec insists he will pick the replacement parts himself.

If the t-shirt you received is the one in your avatar you should get down on your knees and say thanks to whomever it was that blessed you.
