Quality recovery kit

Thinking about buying the ARB recovery kit, comes with a snatch block, d rings, tree hugger and other goodies but is about $250! Anyone have this or recommend another?

You might be able to piece on together for cheaper, but that would require lots of shopping around.

I bought on of warns medium winch kits, which was a tree saver, a regular tow strap, 2 D shackles, gloves, and a snatch block, all in a snazzy bag. Add to that my additional tree saver, tow strap, wheel chocks, 4 D shackles on the bumpers and rope (for tree limbs or dragging lighter weight things... I ruined a good tow strap that way...), I have lots of goodies in my jeep...

I went to my local supply/hardware and found a well made recovery strap for under $35.
Went HF and got the reflective vest....Gloves...Loggers chain...and air compressor.
Also picked up a tire gauge.
Got a free bag from my girlfriend shop.

May be $150.00 invested total. That includes some trail tools.

I feel for the price the ARB recovery kit from Northridge 4x4 is much more complete than the Warn medium kit. However I just found this one which is at the right price point

Rugged Ridge 15104.25 - Rugged Ridge Recovery Gear Kit - Quadratec

Could anyone comment on the quality from experience?

I have two of these and another on the way. The winch line dampener is cheap but works. The gloves are cheap but they work. The rest of the gear is what I was after and I am happy with the quality. I also have one of their 3"x 30' straps purchased separately. Purchased separately everything in the kit costs way more. The 3" strap cost me $80. Almost as much as the kit. I have a 3" x 66' arb winch extension strap. Is it nicer than the rugged ridge stuff? Sure. But it is not the strapping so much as how they finish it off. The arb is just a nicer looking strap in my opinion but looks don't get you home. I would buy the rugged ridge kit again.

Edit- dude pop onto amazon. I picked my kits up for under $100 with free shipping.

Edit 2- it's $107 right now with free shipping.

Damn, for the price I don't think I'll be able to beat that, I may be pulling the trigger very very soon!
