Radiator block drain

I'm new to this site and wish I'd joined long ago (chucked full of goodness)! Anyhow, I'm replacing my radiator and think it would be advisable to flush the system as well before installing, however I can not find the drain in the block (automatic transmission). Haynes says it's driverside rear of the block. I can not find the stinker. Any words of wisdom?

Also should I replace the thermostat and water pump while i'm in there? Temp gauge and oil gauge read fine, no problems there. Reason I'm having to replace the radiator is a small crack in it at the drain. Any recommendations/suggestions welcome!
