I know this has been covered a million times, but after searching and googling I still have a question.

I try to have the top down as often as possible and a lot of times I don't like to carry the windows with me. Here in SC we have a thunderstorm everyday right now. I've realized that if I put the top up and roll the door windows up I can leave the side and back windows out and there won't be much water on the inside of the jeep. I also have no carpet and keep the drain plugs out.

The jeep has no power options except for AC and radio and as far as I have seen so far, no rain water makes it past the back seat. So I think the stuff upfront is pretty safe.

My question is, is there anything I should worry about when keeping the jeep like this?

The only thing I can think of is rust.
Maybe try to rino line the inside, if its not already done.

I feel your pain Pinkerton08...but I love the looks I get when I do drive in the rain with no back windows!

Oh those hectic nights when you wake up hearing thunder and bolt out to your topless Jeep. Happened to me last night. I was huddled under my tj at 5am in the pouring rain trying to tie down a tarp strap while the wind whipped all around me.
Aside from the dash and console I don't think much about it getting soaked elsewhere anymore.

I haven't had it long, but for the first few days I was scared to death to let it get wet. I also locked the doors. Haha. Then it got poured on for the first time and I realized it isn't that bad. I plan on getting it lined ASAP. Just trying to figure out if i want to tackle it myself or pay to have it done. I got a quote from linex and it will be $700 for them to do it or I can buy a monstaliner kit for a couple hundred. I just need to research a bit more before I decide.
