Ramsey Patriot 15,000 winch on my TJ ???

I have a Ramsey Patriot 15,000 # winch. I had it mounted on a 28' gooseneck trailer. I used to pull dead tractors and equipment onto my trailer with it. I no longer have the Silverado 3500 or the trailer. I did keep the winch because I paid almost $1600 for it.
My question is, should I mount this big winch on my 98' TJ? It weighs 120#.
I keep seeing these 8-9000# winch deals pop up online. Should I sell the big 15,000 Ramsey and buy a smaller winch due to size and weight.
The Warn M8000 I see posted now on sale weighs a lot less at 75#. Let's hear some opinions and valid points on keeping my current winch or buying a new smaller one.
I am currently designing new bumpers that I'm going to build. I can build around either winch.
Thanks in advance ....

I would keep the winch that you have. It's paid for.

I just looked up a quick example of a 'heavy duty' winch and the Warn Powerplant HD pulls 12k lbs and weighs 115lb so, for the 5 extra lbs of weight you will get 3k more lbs pull power...sounds like a good tradeoff! I was just about to buy the Superwinch EPi9.0 that weighs just a bit less than these two...only reason I didn't is I got a good deal on the EPi9.0S (synthetic winch line) If you can mount it, use it!

Thanks for all the input so far.

I can mount it for sure. The physical dimensions aren't a whole lot bigger.

Look at it it this way with a 15,000 you can hang her in a tree if you ever get caught in a flood.

Sell that monster winch and get something lighter. FWIW, my Warn M8000 with 80' of 3/8" AmsteelBlue weighs less than 50lbs.

Yeah, I'm worried about the weight. Not sure if I should be... But I am.
Maybe I'll post up the winch locally. Use the coin to buy a new lighter model.
