rattling noise in steering wheel
i have a 98 TJ, and recently i have noticed a rattling noise near the steering column. the noise is very similar to the noise you would hear when a turn signal is going bad, but sped up 10x with a rattling echo in the actual steering wheel. if i turn my turn signal on or emergency flashers, the noise briefly stops but persists again when blinkers are off.

i am sure it is a short, just not sure how to tackle it. has this happened to anyone????
