rear facing car seat in wrangler?

I am thinking of getting a older wrangler (I want a 97 up, but may get a older one if its the right one.) I am going to get rid of my motorcycle to do this because I want my wife and 3 month old to be able to be with me once in awhile. (short drives, ice cream etc...) can you put arear facing car seat in a wrangler? Thanks .Luke

I don't believe there is near enough room in the back seat of a wrangler for a rear facing baby seat, but we've got more than a few moms and dads of young children who would know better.

I hope it will work, even if i am uncomfortable. Its only rear facing for 1 year in NC...but he cannot go in the front here.

No, front is out of the question. I used to have to push the passenger seat way up in my mustang. Maybe it'll work. Like I said, someone with a current youngin will chime in.

It works fine, there's plenty of room but it's kind of a struggle getting it in there with the top on. Get one with the separate base that way you leave the base strapped in when you take the seat out. Amy lugged both our kids around that way.

I think its illegal to have a baby seat facing rear in the front seat. At least that's what my wife told me.

I would check the safety laws to make sure what is considered safest for a child of that age.

we have a 9 month old and I can tell you that a rear facing seat will fit in the back. The best location for it is in the middle of the seat. Otherwise the passenger seat has to be too far forward for someone to sit there.

The real problem we had was putting anything else the baby needed in the vehicle with us. We had two jeeps (an 04 and a 98) and we got rid of both of them in order to have more storage space. Of course I would not recommed that because now I am left wanting everytime I drive my Compass or see a wrangler with the top down.
