rear shock question!!??

hey people so i have a broken, rear pasngr side, shock mount, i took off the shock absorber so its not just hangin there... my ques is should i avoid any type of offroadin til i fix it? what is the risk? i am supposed to be on the trail next weekend and will not have a chance to fix it.. thanks its a 93 yj

You're going to have some serious stability issues driving with a missing shock absorber.
