receiver mount winch

The Warn kit I got for xmas has the receiver mount winch plate with it.

Being able to move a winch between the front and the back sounds useful, but I'm not sure how practical it is.

Anybody doing this?

I am looking into a reciever mounted plow, and was curious about the same thing. Sub'd.

I have seen it done before and it worked well. I will be doing this myself. Sometimes its better to back out when your stuck and go around rather than winch through...

(although its almost always more fun to roll on)

I have one and it works fine. Wouldn't try it for commercial duty, but it works in my business parking lot just fine.

Seasons Greeetings! Nice gift, guy. I loved being able to move my 9000i around. Front to Back, use on different vehicles, etc. I mounted mine permanently on the front of the LJ when I was 73 y.o.. A lot depends on your back!!

I'm looking at about a dozen driveways, 3-6" average plowings, no longer than 50 or 60' each, mostly gravel. Too commercial for that setup? I was thinking of reinforning the hitch/frame connection in an attempt to make the plow frame fail first. Looking for smaller & easier to move than the big plow.

Sorry for the hijack
