If it was not raining every animal on the ark out there and i wasn't so far away from my JEEP, id take a pic, but i have one of those hitches with a "D-RING" ... i replaced the chinese knock off with an american made CLEVIS. works great! My dad got this for me from Harbor freight. There are better ones out there but until ii break this one, ill use it!

I use a 1/2-3/4" thick piece of metal with a hole drilled into it as my d-shackle mount.

Lunnette ring--no noise/no break/no sharp edges and situated in the strongest point in the rear !

Ya know the solid ring shown in the pic you have in your post, are really the best for longevity of "straps", but you'll have to know how to attach "looped" straps and/or have open attachments on the other end--

Id also take a picture if it werent raining. I may at lunch. My Rokmen rear bumper has super beefy d ring mounts welded front and back and physically keyed into the bumper and recessed into the frame.

You can buy their DIY shackle mounts and install them in any bumper. They are around $50 smackers. You should weld them front and rear.

Looks good, make sure the shackle mounts are long enough to be welded to the face and back of the bumper.

And Jim, just keeping, well trying to keep the peace. I get the humor lol

I wouldn't worry about it. But I've seen guys tack d rings in place with a welder. I've also seen em use heavy duty adhesive, if they can't steal it within 10 minutes. They ain't gonna.

If that's a stock or stock type receiver it isn't the strongest point in the rear. That distiction belongs to the stock hook location.

Most people don't have any idea how to get those off and most that do already have plenty of them.

Take a Zip-tie and run it through the hole and the clevis and it keeps it from falling out or being stolen. and when you need to use it cut the zip-tie with pliers... OR
instead of a zip-tie, Tighten the pin with adjustable pliers really tight.
Heres a pic of a small clevis i have and string i ran through. This clevis has been through a lot and pulled out many inanimate objects in my mind. haha

My crosby shackles just hang on the back, the fronts are cheapos that dont stay threaded together so I used red locktite. You cant get those off by hand, but can with a set of pliers.
