? regarding my dodge pulling my jeep

ok..this weekend i am going to KY for a trip with some wheeling buddies..
this is the first time i am going to be hauling my jeep down..
it is a 6.5 hour drive according to mapquest

now i have a car hauler..jeep on it... i will be pulling with a dodge ram1500 sport V8 318...

i went out for a test run today and got out on the highway and YIKES!
my truck hates pulling a trailor... i could barely get to 60mph

so i am just wondering if i am going to be ok (or my truck is going to be ok) for this haul

thanks

Your truck will be fine. If you have never really pulled with a trailer 58 is a great speed. Even 55 is. Your truck will get faster. You just need more running room, remember it takes longer to stop too. I have pulled a ton of stuff in my short life. I have even pulled a bobcat with the recent f-150 5.4 lol. It had it's butt pucker moments. But it still got the job done.

dont be scared to let it rev. i had a 99 with a 360 i used to pull my jeep on. before i regeared to 4.10s i couldnt hold OD unless it was flat ground. its better to run it a 3k rpms than be lugging it in OD
