Remembering the 'Greatest Generation' and their vehicle

In the last 1.5 years, my wife has lost her two uncles and her father. Her uncles were both combat veterans in the South Pacific [Marine Corps and Navy] and her father was in Germany [Army]. Her father was assigned as a Jeep driver. She always wanted a Jeep, even though her dad couldn't understand why.

After her dad died several weeks ago, I got an idea based on things I've seen here and a bit of creativity.

I bought 'challenge coins' with the Service seals on them and replace the 'Trail Rated' badge with them. Here is the result -

I have contacted with an auto pinstriper to letter a sentiment under the coins and that will be done soon. The 'Sport' / 'Wrangler' decals will come off soon and be replaced by a 'Jeep' decal.

Sweet, thank you for honoring them!

Sorry for your loss.

You are right, we need to remember the "Greatest Generation". My Uncle served with the Navy in the Pacific and my Dad was able to serve over seas in the Air Corps at the tail end of the war. I've done something similar with my Jeep's theme, I've dedicated it in their honor.

Thanks for your kind words. As a former Marine, I know that commemoration of those who served before is an important honor. After I showed my wife what I did, she cried [probably because I washed her Jeep too].

The Jeep Wrangler makes a perfect platform for honoring our vets.

Great way to show them respect. Please post pics when the lettering is done.
