Remote starter on a manual trans

Ive had one on my XJ for many yaers & love it.My TJ is a stick.Do they make them for manual trans? My friend had one on a manual trans vehicle & somehow made it work but it would start in gear. The look on his face when he started it in gear was priceless but dont want this happening to me.

you can probably bypass the neutral safety switch somehow. you wont find any place to install it for you for liability reasons. you'll have to do it or a friend will. just be sure you leave it out of gear.

You can bypass the switch, but...... I saw someone at a cars with a custom mustang cobra and someone accidentally activated the car and it was in gear and the car ran up a curb, destroying the bumper and exhaust.

Forget which fuse, but the neutral switch will be disabled when the fuse is removed.

Since I always put mine in gear when parking it would not help. It's just extra protection in case the parking brake fails. If you leave yours in neutral then you can
probably find something. But you will have to do it yourself as others have said.
No garage will want to do that for the liability reasons.

They do make them. My brother looked into getting one and decided it wasn't worth the money. Basically before you shut the car off, you have to put it in neutral, put the parking brake on, push some button on the remote, and then turn the car off. I guess that somehow was the safe way to avoid bypassing the clutch switch, although I don't know the logistics on how it worked.

I have a 13 manual on order and was wondering what remote start/alarm systems other people have used in their manual?
