Repainting JK bumpers

I am going to respray my bumpers tomorrow because they are severely faded and was just curious how difficult or easy it is to remove them?

Very easy. With the front bumper you remove some bolts from the back side and the plastic over bumper comes off (you'll be shocked at how light it is). The rear bumper comes off as one piece after removing the bracket bolts.

I took off the 4 bolts and not sure how to get it off past the front hooks. Help!

Sorry, I can't help there. My '07 didn't have the hooks.
I'm posting to keep this active so hopefully someone will chime in.
