Question ROAM by Superwinch

So I've just read about Superwinchs new smartphone app ROAM and it made me curious on peoples opinions.

The app gives you control of your winch via wifi from your smartphone, you can spool in and out, view amp draw, motor temp, line speed. Is this something people would use often enough?

I mean if I'm out in conditions where I'll be using a winch, I would think the last thing I need out there is my phone as well. What if you are in snow or mud and ruin your phone?

I could see being able to view motor temps helpful, but as far as controlling the winch, that's what the remote is for right? And usually when winching, I have gloves on, now I need a new pair of gloves with "smartphone" fingertips!

Lastly, when I go out to the trails, my phone gets tossed in the console, I'm out enjoying life not tweeting about what I want to do, I'm doing it!

Neat gadget, but just that, a gadget. Least of my worries when I am using a winch.

Funny thing is if the other "W"inch guys had done this first it would be an innovation.
