Roll bar padding

I drive a 2004 Jeep Wrangler X. I have the Rampage frameless soft top. I'm thinking about removing my roll bar padding. Is there anything I need to do/purchase to prevent the top from being really loose? I want the top to be right but I need a full top (not just safari or bikini) because it is my daily driver, ever on rainy days.

I'm looking forward to a reply on this - I was going to contact Bestop/Rampage to see if they could help me. I took my OEM soft top off back in April, haven't put it back on, and don't plan on it. Since then I have taken off all the roll-bar padding, and want to pick up either the rampage or the trektop for the winter. I'm worried it wont fit as tight as it is supposed to...

Bump!

I have a trektop nx on mine with no rollbar padding. I have not had any issues with it.

Most people remove it for added color.

I removed mine because it was faded and torn beyond repair.
