Roof rack options for a hard top

I am looking for a roof rack to carry kayaks ontop of my '11 wrangler unlimited with a hard top.
I have had one person tell me that the rain gutters are useable and a we can get a clip on version, another person has told me that that will not work and I have to go with a hard mount into the roof (which isn't happening)...any suggestions?

I'm not sure you would want to use the gutters on the freedom panels to mount a rack.

Just my opinion, no experience to back it up.

Drilling holes through the factory hard top is not really not a big deal. It is easy to seal against leaks, and no worry about rust.

There's a cheap roofrack at walmart that might work. I know they make a lot of racks for the Wranglers, just have to figure out what mounting style you want and go with it.

It wouldn't be so bad to put the holes in the roof, my only issue is that whenever we wanted to take the kayaks out, we would have to have the roof on

Thanks for the advice!

Well, I'm kinda' having the opposite problem with my '06 TJ. I only have a softtop. I will be getting a Yakima or Thule roll bar mount. That means the top will be off while transporting. I can't get a cage because of other upgrades I needed more. Have you looked at Kargo Master racks? I know they work with softtops, not sure about hardtops. Thule and Yakima bars can mount to them.
