No Kate I am talking about the Rubis that come with electronic lockers. They are not nearly as good as an air locker. The new Rubis have electronic lockers how did yours come with an air lockers??

She's got a TJ, all the TJ Rubis came with air lockers.

When I'm eventually ready to sell, I anticipate the resale value and demand will be much higher than an X that has been heavily modded.
Yah, I'm gonna continue modding my Rubicon, but sometimes I long for the days when it was stock and life was much simpler. And when it WAS stock, I remember one time a guy on a trail with a well built up Rubicon telling me the same thing. Stock Rubicons are pretty awesome as is without any of the hassles of an aftermarket build.

I love the Rubi LJ's.

I'd say that's pretty much how it works....with motorcycles, Jeeps, any vehicles, homes, etc. It's always cheaper buying something that already has the improvements that you want (which translates to the seller selling the improvements at a loss).

I wouldn't call the OEM lockers crap. They've been serving me well, along with many other Rubicon owners I know. And air lockers have their own problems as well (compressors failing and air lines getting severed are things I've seen happen). I'd rather have air lockers as well, but the difference between the two alone is not a big enough of a deal to me to not choose a Rubi. Again, I'm not saying I'm right and someone else is wrong. There's give and take with every choice, and to each his own.

The electronic lockers sometimes take a few seconds to engage, and the same thing to disengage. With air lockers, you flip the switch and it happens.

I too was going back an forth 2010-rubi or order a new sport2011... i had just sold my FX4-level 2 - off-road ranger.. went off-roading all the time, but rarely needed 4 wheel drive.. off-road tires and ground clearance was all i needed. I opted for the 2011 new unlimited sport- ! cannot wait until it shows up! about 3 weeks to go...I hope my new wrangler will go where my ranger went . . of course when i purchased my ranger i purchased the loaded (full off-road capability used ) over just a 4x4 new... I am excited to get my First JEEP!

Your new Jeep will go lightyears further offroad than your Ranger. Wait. You'll be a believer soon.
