Rubicon shocks and springs

I'm sure this question has been answered hundreds of time but forgive me, I am a newbie.... I just bought my 08 JK 2 door and Included in the deal the guy gave me a set of 4 rubicon shocks and springs. I would like to have these put on, any down side to doing so? How is the road ride ok the rubicon shocks and springs?

Thanks

As a follow up question, how hard is it to swap the shocks and springs myself, he didn't include much hardware, other than the spacers and washers that are attached to the shocks. So are there a lot of things I would need to get it done?

By way of looking at them (shocks / springs) are they brand new or have they been removed from the jeep?

My question is ....did the previous owner purchase them to install and never did ? Or were they on the jeep and removed because the prior owner disliked the ride of the rubicon suspension ?

The springs still have the tags on them and are brand new, the shocks however look like they were used. The previous owner got a good deal on them, bought them and never installed.

Compare the last two numbers on the springs to yours. The higher the number the taller the spring. Having come from a Rubicon means nothing. The shocks are different but the springs are the same.
