I just purchased a set of Trailhead tire deflators. I ran my last Jeep off-road at full hwy pressure. ( only took it off road twice) I decided to get some tire deflators for all future runs. I now have an 07 Unlimited Rubicon with stock suspension and stock tires (255/75r17) BFG Mud Terrains.
The question I have is what would be the recommeded (by you guys) tire pressure for off roading. Conditions on the trails vary: mud, gravel, rocks. Nothing severe but all fun.
I have a deflation guide that came with the deflators, but it does not have my tire size on it. the closest is 285/70r17. The guide shows that tire size with a gvw of 4000 to be 12 psi and 5000 to be 14 psi. Is this a good setting for my Jeep with the tires I am running?
Yes, I did do a search, but could not find what I was looking for.
