Sensor problems with 98 wrangler??

Believe I may have an OBD or MAT or MAP sensor problem, based on what I have read in my Haynes repair manual for my 98 Jeep Wrangler Sport, straight six, manual transmission, with the following symptoms:
rough running, backfiring, clears up after a minute or so (maybe computer not getting the right message for fuel/air mixture); airbag light comes on simultaneously with tachometer and speedometer both going to zero on the guages, clears up after several minutes. Sometimes only airbag light comes on. Once, signal lights stopped working, then started working again after about 20 minutes. Sounds to me like some kind of electronic thing is not working right. Anyone know anything about these problems?
