Shifting

Hey Everyone,

I just purchased a 2013 jeep warangler sport (automatic) and am just now get feel for the ride. Pretty critical and easy question though, when shifting from 2H to 4H are the only necessary steps 1) shifting from Drive to neutral, 2) switching from 2H to 4H, 3) then finally switching back to drive from neutral and then your on your merry way?

Thanks for the responses

Nope, shift from 2H to 4H and back at any time. No need to put it in neutral.

edit: up to 55 mph (you shouldn't use 4WD at that speed anyway)

I believe you are thinking of shifting into 4Lo, where it is advised to shift the vehicle into neutral at a complete stop before putting into 4Lo. I think there is also some other step of putting on the e-brake as well. It's a crazy formula, that you have to remember...lol

If just going to 4 high just pull up the owners manual says you can do it up to 50 MPH.
