Should i trade tires now?

I am the proud owner of a 2010 Rubicon with 17 inch tires. Can I simply replace the tires wit 18 inchers? Our do I nee new wheels as well?

Will I need to make any other adjustments? I'm also thinking of a 2.5 or 4.5 inch lift. Will the18 inch tires and 2.5 inch lift look good? A new front bumper and winch is in the not too far future as well.

Thanks in advance of som thoughtful replies.

Congrats on your new Jeep and welcome to the forums. If your talking about getting bigger rims, I wouldn't go bigger than the 17". Actually you might want to check out 15" ones instead. You can put bigger tires on your current rims but check out pro comp and crager rims. You have a ton of wheel size choices with any rim but the tire and wheel set could be more expensive for a 17" rim. There is a lot of info on wheel choices sizes here on the WF. Take some time to check them out and read up on it before making a decision.

Post pics when you do, we love em.

Tires arent measured like that, the 17 and 18 is the size of the rim. Stay with the same size rim and get bigger tires. the measurements are:
33/12.5/r15
which means 33 inch tire/ 12.5 inch wide tread/ on a 15 inch rim

That makes sense. Should I ask on craigslist for a trade or store the old ones for a raining day? Or buy new 33 inch ones and try to sell the original ones separately?
