Should the soft top fit better than this?

First of all, I'm very new to Jeeps. My sister bought a Jeep Wrangler last year, and while she's out of town for an extended time, she's asked me to Jeep-sit for her.

One thing that troubles me is the poor fit of the soft top. The thing is, I don't know if it's supposed to be like this, or if the previous owner bought the wrong parts. I took some photos of it, but I don't think they'll fit into the narrow format of this forum, so I put them on a separate page.

http://pat.ssih.com/jeep.html

The first three photos show the fit around the door, and the last two show the rear, which seems to funnel rain water into the back area. I've had to tape a piece of plastic tarp to this area to keep it from flooding.

It's a '98, but I don't know the specific model, or if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any help.

So you're saying that what I have is the right thing, but I need some additional attachments?

Doesn't say where your from.....But I'll betcha there's got to be at least one other Jeep in your area you could look at and see the surrounds and rear bar. How long has it been that way? Does it rain there? Has your sister not noticed the gap?

Well, the links and photos that everyone has posted are pretty clear. I don't want someone thinking I'm casing their Jeep.

She bought it like this about a year ago.

Does it rain there?
Indeed, especially now during hurricane season.

For the most part, she doesn't care. She leaves the top down pretty much all summer long, parks it in a garage and doesn't take it out in the rain (it's not her primary vehicle). Once the colder weather comes along, she switches to a hard top.
