Sign to Support Access To Public Lands!!!

This Pro-Multiple Use Petition came out of California. *It is to counter legislation being proposed by Senator Boxer (D) of California. *Although this is a California bill, we all know what starts in California tends to influence bills that other states (like Utah) will see in the future.

Senator Boxer (D) is proposing closure of a significant amount of off-road riding area. We need to sign this petition to support Back Country Recreation. Please go to this link website and sign this petition. Please tell Senator Boxer (D) how you feel by supporting motorized Back Country Recreation

Back in the 70's, the wilderness area north of highway 78 was instituted by Congress and the rest of the Glamis Dunes were intended for motorized recreation in perpetuity. We all know how that turned out. Along come other groups that want to close the rest of the area.
In the past, concessions have been made allowing other lands to be designated Wilderness, while leaving remaining lands open to Multiple Use. Contrary to these past agreements Wilderness advocates now want the remaining lands, and we will not stand for continued loss of our public lands to recreate on. This petition is being supported by ASA (American Sand Association) and several other pro-access groups.

Public Lands Petition - Act Now OR Loose Your Access

All signed up, Jack. You are so right. If we don't protect our right to access public land, we will loose it. I encourage everyone to take a minute, and sign this petition. If they win here, it won't be long for them to win in other states.

Thanks, Axel. We are fighting this same battle on 3 different fronts here in AZ right now. We have two different Resource Management Plans in the works with the BLM and all of our Forests are doing route designation for their plans in accordance with the 07 court decisions. We've been planted in Land Use meetings the last few weeks.

I haven't wheeled in Glamis, but I have wheeled in Cali and don't want Barbara Boxer to think for one damn minute that we are going to idly sit by and let them keep shrinking our public lands down to nothing.

(Can you tell I'm kind of passionate about this?)

And don't think that just one little signature won't make a difference. In the hour since I got this petition in my email there have been about 500 signature's added. One person does make a difference.

I know that you have always been passionate about this, as should the rest of us be. As your sig says, without it, the rest doesn't matter. This is the only way to have a voice, in this matter, and I hope every member takes the time to sign up. It is that important, if you want to have a place to wheel.

I signed it. We're dealing with this same thing up here. Really makes me mad.
Skeeter used to wheel in Glamis, when he lived down there.

Keep up the good fight, Jack. We're pulling with you.

You should know by now Chris, over there she's like a goddess. I don't know what it's going to take to get someone to win against her.

I know. We had a huge fight with her camp about high tension wires coming through my neighborhood. They were going to condemn our homes and take the property. Took us two years before we were able to breathe again. She's very self serving.

I have a very low opinion of her and I'll leave it at that.

I've spent alot of time in Glamis, it's a great place. quite abit of it has already been shut down due to the enviro clowns.

I signed it, even though I am all the way over on the east coast. Just like you all said, once CA passes it, its only so long before it will get passed in MD. We are already dealing with this as far as land use goes (ZERO places to wheel legally in MD) as well as second ammendment issues.

good luck you all.. cali is as bad as MD so I know how ya feel.. Keep fighting the good fight!

I would like to make a suggestion to the drafters of this petition and everyone on the internet in general. In order to be taken seriously, especially by lawmakers or businessmen, you have to spell correctly, especially simple words. I see the example I am about to give all over the internet, and it is past the point of depressing me, it is actually bothering me on a psychological level now. Enough of my ranting, but here we go. The word LOST, specifically its various conjugations such as; LOSE, LOSER, LOSING, has only one "O" in it. Ever. Under no circumstances is it correct to use 2 "O's", unless you are trying to spell the word loose, which is the opposite of tight.

I hope this didn't come off as offensive to everyone, and I'm sure someone will want to pick apart any grammatical errors I have made, but I see this mistake so often; and more and more I am seeing it in official documentation, that I had to make a stand somewhere. It is not the same as making an honest mistake, people seem to think that it is the correct spelling.
