Well... I don't have any funny experiences nearly as great as some of these..

1. Filling up at the station, the manager asked me for a wash, I laughed and said "I'll wait till it rains" then he asked if I'd put the top up, and said no, it will clean the inside out too. His expression..

2. When my mom asks me why I want all the mods I mention. I just find that funny.

3. Always that person in the lil gas saver always wondering why i drive a jeep.

On #2. My parents dont really ask anymore cause they want a jeep now.

On #3. To which I reply "because I love driving over stuff about the size you your gas sipper."

My grandparents said I was crazy when they saw it snowing and all I had on my jeep was a safari/tonno and soft doors, I just told them I still have to turn the heat down.

Last night as I was walking to my stock JKUR from Target, I saw a lady parked near my Jeep who was putting her groceries in her Hummer H2. I was sitting in my vehicle messing with the radio when she tapped on my window and told me, with great enthusiasm, that she loved my Jeep. She was very nice, and she went on and on about how great that she thought it looked. We chatted briefly, and then she asked, "are they expensive?". I was a bit surprised that an H2 owner (it looked great, too) was concerned about the price.

Not as good as others here, but as I was trying to find a spot in the general parking at the airport, I forgot about my CB antenna being higher than the required 6'10" limit. By the time I found my parking spot, a gentleman in a little BMW convertible told me he could hear me thawping since the 4th floor. I chuckled, told him its why the antenna has a spring. He walked away saying what's the point of oversize parking if none uses it. He was out of earshot before I could respond.

I have been refused parking in garages when I have pulled up due to the CB antenna height. I just flip it down and secure it to the spare and drive in, 3 inches under the max height on the top bow of my soft top.

Perhaps not so silly.

Had the top down at Home Depot and next to me a lady approaches and asks me why I have 2 fire extinguishers (attached to each rear roll bar)?

I asked her if she had ever seen a vehicle fire? "no"
I pointed at her minivan where she had two little kids strapped in the back and asked her "How long if that thing catches on fire is it going to take you to unstrap them after you get over your initial panic attack?" And she paused..then asked intelligibly, but those are strapped to the back. Then I pulled a 2 1/2 pounder from under the drivers seat and said my kids are easily worth 20 bucks.

She then got the far away look in her eyes as she got her kids out going into the store. Pretty sure I made a sale right there.

I've had one engine fire, put it out with a tank from the rear and only burnt up some wires. Best 50 bucks I ever invested.

I was at Les Shwabb getting a nail out of my stock KM2. After handing my keys back the Les Shwabb tech said it looked stock and asked if I was going to lift it or do anything to it.
I took that as a big complement given that at the time it had:
2.5" lift
AEV front bumper
Warn winch
AEV rear bumper with tire carrier
Spod
Ham Radio remote mounted to a Daystar switch panel.
Viair 400c JK kit
1.5" wheel spacers

Then again, maybe the tech was just that bad. We was bragging about the TJ he used to have that was lifted 6.5" for 35" tires.

A while a go I pulled into a gas station and there was another pretty built jk there. Talked to the owner and as the conversation progressed he subsequently told me I was stupid for taking my Jeep off-road.... The comment stemmed from my pinstriping or something like that...

I was getting gas the other day and a guy comes out of the store and says nice jeep. I say thanks and continue with the small talk when he asks, what's the mpg on that thing. I tell him 16, ooh, I was going to get one but won't because of the fuel mileage. He then proceeds to hop into a V8 Cherokee which gets like 15 stock. I just laughed, shook my head. People make no sense sometimes.

"Guess that thing doesn't get stuck anywhere?"
"Can you take that off-road? "

Mine is usually pretty clean thanks to a friend that owns a detail shop so the "Do you ever go offroading in it" gets me.

Had a guy driving an H2 say that if he knew a Jeep could look so good he would have bought it instead.

My favorite is "Is that some kind of new Hummer?"
