Funny story...I have a friend who went to Home Depot and used their $19.99 truck to get some stuff home that wouldn't fit in his car. His son and him get in the truck and he asks what this lever on the door is for. He was pointing at the window crank. Once my buddy showed him it was for the window and rolled it up and down, he kept playing with it and said to my friend, "Dad, that's so cool"

i had a girl tell me i should get get power locks with a key fob.
i replied you can unzip it from the outside.

i had a buddy in my jeep with me he was playing with the door with a real confused look on his face. Then he stopped with and looked forward with an even more confused look.
I ask him "whats wrong."

he says, "how do you open this window, I didnt want to ask you because i already feel dumb enough."

"You unzip it"

he just shakes his head and doesnt talk for the next few minutes

That's the reason I'm keeping my stock wheels and tires for a while. It's capable enough the way it is. You just have to be smart about what to do and what not to.

Smart about what not to do? In the context of Jeepers?

Yeah... I thought that way too, until I had 6 plugs in 4 tires and a massive gash in the sidewall of my spare... All with under 3k on the odometer.

Being "smart about what not to do" is a challenge for some

2 funny things my 4 year old son said about my Anvil 10A when I took it home last week:

1 - "I thought you were getting a blue Jeep". <---10A humor

2 - "Why are there pictures of Mater on your wheels?"

I got my jeep stuck on a snow mound a month after getting it. Just last week, I crossed a "puddle," water initially went over the hood, when it settled, water was up to my doors. Dripped inside. I made it out. Afterwards I thought.... "That wasn't too smart"

I'm not as innocent as I sound...

Lets just say I try to be smart....

The first night after we bought the Jeep my son asked "How fast does it go?"

Wife answered "its not how fast it goes, its how many things we can run over"

Jumped the curb in the parking lot to get out, just for the heck of it, with my 10 year old next to me.

After we got on the road I told her, "I'm sorry, did I scare you?"

She answered "don't worry dad, I think it should be the law that if you own a jeep, you must run over something once a week!"

I have manual windows and door locks. Also no keyless entry, people at work trip out when I use the key to unlock the door. I got it in January. I don't even have one of the fancy Bluetooth radios. It's an AM/FM CD player like God intented. AC is the most advanced thing in the cab.

Went through Mcdonalds and the attendant said "you have no doors, what happened to your doors?" I said I took them off. She said " why did you do that?" Go figure!

Not really something silly about my Jeep. But yesterday we pulled into Walmart and were walking towards the entrance I spotted an H3 (all blinged out of course), I looked over at my wife and said "how can anyone mistake that thing for a Jeep???" And she says "OMG, I was just about to say "who would put window visors on a Jeep?""

In '97 got remarried, wife had a minivan, talked her into a new vehicle that was NOT a minivan. She says Wrangler, and I ask where and when do we go wheeling ?
She says i don't go wheeling, I get a color that looks good with my hair and drive around town with the top down !
Gotta love her.
