When I took my windows out my friend goes, "why did you take the windows out?", I said because it is a Jeep and I can do that. He then goes, "thats stupid."

Today while I was at the dealership trying to see a 10a in person a salesman goes, "Don't you like the Geico, thats a nice color." Its Gecko, not an insurance company, at least he was friendly.

Trolling for chicks isn't optional when offroading because your jeep is usually preloaded with them.

My little sister (She's 4) has been waiting impatiently for me to take her for a ride in the Jeep.. But she insisted we take it around my grandparents farm.. So, last weekend we get her carseat in the back, windows down, some tunes going, and start driving around the field.. She's loving it, singing along to the Tim McGraw.. And then it happens.. "Truck Yeah" comes on.. And without missing a beat, she sings the song as "Jeep Yeah!" I had to stop I was laughing so hard

I took last Friday off and my kids didn't want to take the bus. They wanted me to drive them to school in the naked jeep.

I received some looks from parents who probably thought it was dangerous but didn't say anything.

My 3 yr old son said to me "Papa put the roof back on or I'm gonna' punch you in the face...."
Needless to say he has a pretty mean left hook.

Co-worker asked me today where the compartment was that stored my hard top in case it rained. I was like seriously then realized he is a Marine.

You tell them running their mouth to a stranger (or you) is dangerous... then punch them. Idiot people. My wrangler is safer than most cars on the road, especially with all the armor I run on it to keep rocks at bay. I have more steel on my rocker (almost half an inch) then they have between them and the outside with their thin sheet metal doors. Anything hitting me higher than the rocker would kill me and take my head off in a normal height car...

I would definitely have a discussion with that person about how driving at all is dangerous to everyone. So is going outside. Why don't we all just off ourselves now for the good of humanity.

Haha. That's awesome. I am far more inclined to listen to country now that I've been rolling in a JK. I thought I was the only one. Love you guys

I'm in the same boat with the country music. I used to almost never listen to it, then I started listening to it more when I got my TJ. Now that I have a JK I listen to almost nothing but country.

I'm usually rocking out to some punk or ska, occasionally some country but none of this crap they're coming out with today. David Allan Coe's the only country I listen to

Yeah, country is good but you need to experience the looks you get when Mozart is turned up to 11 and the JK is running topless with no doors

same with bohemian rhapsody and journey for some reason.

Funniest thing I have heard is, "you can't park there".

Funny, I normally have country going, and this while driving around NYC is always a funny site I think!

I frequently listen to the classical public radio station in my area. I was a band geek in high school. If you think you get funny looks with Mozart, try blasting some Wagner. Most people have never heard Die Walküre outside of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Makes me feel like a super hero.

More dangerous than being too stupid to drive? Which is 90% of the people i encounter driving it seems like well maybe its 50%...you know what i mean.

what exact protection does a soft top provide exactly? It pretty much just keeps the weather out. Youd fly through that fabric so fast...

I guess they should be ticketed for not wearing their seat belt, bc u ain't going anywhere with those things on. I once had a cracked sternum to prove that. Those things lock up and hold u better than a bungee cord and harness.

I love my doors off, but I'm moving, so affixing storage for them is futile at the moment, so I have to keep em on until I move...super sad.

No doors, no top, no problem!

Most likely that's because you're singing along like that scene in Wayne's World. Admit it. We all do it.

Lol, thats the new geico edition jeep!!!!

Taking the windows out is no different than those old station wagons with the roll down back window. If you dont have ac, sometimes you need the air flow. Infact, most modern cars seem to be part of an air conditioning conspiracy. If we still had roll down back windows and corner windows that turn all the way around you wouldnt hardly need it..... ah atleast we still have the civilian jeep!

For what it's worth, my father in law is a trauma nurse and former EMT. He says he's seen plenty of accidents involving Jeeps and they are just as safe.

Same here.

I have nothing silly to contribute. I do, however, really love the looks at drive throughs when the doors are off.
