You should see the looks when you pull up with no doors and nobody sitting on the "drivers seat"...

I usually skip drive thrus though and walk in, reaching over is a pain

Yup, love the country, and especially bluegrass, but I love rolling with classical music blaring from the speakers of my naked Jeep. The looks I get if I drive by a restaurant with sidewalk tables are priceless.

Top and doors off a few weekends back, dropped it off at valet at a local bar on a nice saturday. As me and the buddies are walking in you can hear the valet guys shouting at the one parking it "vamanos a la playa!" (Let's go to the beach!)

A little nervous a "Ferris Bueller" situation might be happening

Of course, you can't help but sing with those. It's like some weird kind of witch craft. No matter how bad your day was, or how pissed, you still sing.

I like how she calls him ignorant! lol She does realize that when the batteries go out on her little prius, they have to dispose of the right? and that the chemicals are just as bad if not worse than gas/diesel right?

Try playing some opera as you drive through crowds in NYC all muddy and backfiring .. works better when you pull up next to a lexhole all full of himself or a limo and ask for some grey poupon ..

I used to play a lot of misplaced ambient sounds just to throw people off .. you know like a lightning storm on a clear sunny day, industrial sounds in the woods, ice cream trucks in traffic on the highway, you get the idea ..

"What is that?"
"It's a Jeep."
"Kinda like an Army Jeep. How much you pay for that?"
"It listed for about $36,000."
"Man, you could've bought a used Bentley for that much."
"Sir, do I look like the kinda guy that would drive a Bentley?"
"Maybe not...later dawg."

Try going through the drive thru in reverse sometime and see what they do.

Edit: Oops...I see someone already suggested that.

"I never would buy a 4x, it just gets you stuck 100 feet further"
I've heard that so many times, from so many folks, that I've lost count. I don't have either the heart to tell them how wrong they are or the patience to argue with the idiocy.

Just 3 days ago a sorta hippie-ish guy comes over from the next row at the gas station, walks up behind my rig and asks how I like it. I tell him, "Overall, pretty great." He responds, "Yeah, a lot better than those Jeep things, huh?" Shortly thereafter he walks back to his vehicle and I notice he'a getting into a VW van with slightly oversized mud/snow tires. Wasn't too surprised - lol

I just waved at what I assumed was a fellow jeeper next to me at a stop light (after all, he was driving a JK like me) who proceeded to look at me, and then say " do I know you?" I did not have time to explain due to the light changing and me laughing.

Them: "Is that new Jeep in the parking lot yours?"
Me: "Yes, I got it this past weekend."
Them: "That's really cool looking! Can I drive it?"

I'd had it 4 days at that point, and I don't tend to let anyone drive my vehicles unless I've been drinking, let alone my brand new pride and joy.

My five year old daughter and I play 'find a jeep' when we ride together. She spotted a H3 on the road, couple of days ago...

Daughter: "Daddy, why is that jeep looking bad?"
Me: "That's not a Jeep honey, it's called a hummer."
Daughter: "Well, that thing looks ugly and I don't like it. Jeep is the best!"

I play this same game with my 5 year old and 2 year old sons. The five year old is an expert by now, but the 2 year old points out EVERY Jeep on the road including Cherokees, Libertys, Commanders, etc (recognizes the similar grille designs and J E E P emblems). I want to correct him ("those are not really like Daddy's Jeep"), but it's too impressive and cute to say anything. ;-)

Exactly the same scenario with my 3 year old. Older sister gets mad anytime the 3 year old points at Liberty and says "I found one".

I, on the other hand, love the fact that they love my Dozer that much to arguments over it and play games based on it. That ever happens with our beamer or Mini.

The icing on the cake was when those two were more excited than me to see the new 35s installed.

New coworker gets in the back seat for the first time, "Is this the H2 or H3?" I stop in the middle of the parking lot and promptly state this is not a Hummer. He then says, "I'll see when I get out." Like I don't know what kind of vehicle I am driving..

When the TJ's came out I was driving around town (in my YJ) early one weekend morning and the roads were like totally empty (not a small town but it was dead) I stopped at a light and the guy in the TJ stopped next to me. We started talking and he offered to let me drive it. I drove it around the block while he waited for me at my Jeep. Crazy. But cool.
