I was taping off the jeep yesterday and finishing final prep for bedlining, so she was completely stripped at this point, seats bumpers, harnesses etc.

Neighbor walks over to see what i'm doing, he has a blazer, and says "man doesn't take long to take everything off these things huh?"

so i said, did you not see me out here the past 2 weeks dissasembling this thing?

granted it's my DD so I had to do it little by little but still, took me a looooooooong time to get it ready.

A few weeks ago up in the Eastern Sierra, I'm sitting outside the Von's waiting for my wife to get whatever it was she needed and these couple of guys walked by ...

First guy: "That Jeep is badass..."
Second guy: "It would be if it was a Rubicon."

It took a lot of effort not to get out and backhand someone. Lots of us modded JK's can walk all over a stock Rubicon. And Stickers are cheap. If I'd had stickers, he'd have just said "Yeah, it sure is!"

I hate twits.

Okay, granted the JK's have a little nicer interior. But how can you not tell you aren't in a hummer? There's a jeep logo on the steering wheel, on the mirrors.

Steering wheel, oh $hi+ bar, air vents, grille, wheels, and just the fact that there is a HUGE difference (in my eyes) between a stock JK/JKU and an H3 or even an H2 (wonder if someone was a little "relaxed")...

I would have responded, "That's what she said." LOL!

You know, i keep seeing in this thread people mistaking jeeps for the fake hummers (h2/H3) somehow. And I did not understand how this was possible. but check out this thread.

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/com...ml#post3817252

Color matched, Hard top, JKU's. This is the only configuration i can see that looks remotely like a hummer. From a far distance. In bad lighting. I can maybe see the confusion. Maybe.

but a 2 door soft top? how does this look anything like a hummer? Oh well, at least it gives us something to laugh at.

I told one of my friends that I bought a new Jeep recently, told him the model and everything. "Wrangler, huh? Did you get the one that's convertible?" I had to give him a lesson on the different offerings of the Jeep.

I was picking up my 2yr old son at my in-law's last week, and I parked right beside a black Rubi unlimited (mine's billet), and two spaces down, with mine in the middle, was a 2dr JK (forget the color). My son loves my Jeep. When trying to get him to leave his grandparent's apartment, I'll say "Ready to go"? "no no". But when I say "Ready to go in Daddy's Jeep"? "Yeah!" and off to the door he runs. Got downstairs and he stood there, staring with confusion. He pointed to my Jeep "daddy, dis?" (which translates as "Daddy, what's this?"). That's Daddy's Jeep. "Non dis", and points to the Rubi. "Nope, that's not Daddy's Jeep" "Dis?" Yes, that's Daddy's Jeep. "Non dis"... this went on for about three minutes, even while I was putting him in his car seat. I never parked beside another Jeep before and he was totally thrown.

Out in front of the hardware store a little elderly lady said "Well, that's a nice Jeep, now is that military?" (Cute little lady made me smile)
I said "No Ma'am, it's a civilian issue"
to which she replied "Oh, my husband and I had so much fun in his... You know years ago, they didn't have seat belts either!" And with a wink, she walked away.

I was a little slow on the uptake....

I just got a bare-bones 2013 Wrangler Sport. Only option it has is A/C, so it has the small steel wheels and small tires.

While stopped for ice cream on a family jeep cruise around town, my 3-year-old son looked in the parking lot and said to my wife, "I see Dada's Jeep! See that black thing with little wheels? That's it!"

It wasn't anything said or necessarily silly but I was driving around topless earlier today and some guy saluted me as I drove by. I'm 17 and not affiliated with the military or ROTC

My reply wasn't that funny, but all I could muster was "HA! This coming from a guy driving an RTI ramp!"

Whenever I drive around with my girls (5 and 3 years old). They always notice the jeeps driving around us.

The one day and now every time since if they see a stock unlifted wrangler driving or parked they refer to it as "baby jeep".

Another "How fast does it go?" question. Neighborhood kid (maybe 7-8 years old) who
had previously stopped by a year or two ago to check out my SS Camaro asked the
same question of the wife's new Rubicon Unlimited.

Told him it's not really that type of vehicle and his friend corrects him too and tells him
"Man, just look at these tires. They're not meant for going fast."

I work at a Jeep Dealership and I drive a 2012 Sahara Unlimited with a lift and some 295 60 18 Trail Grapplers. She's big, black, and my baby. Of course there are a few more mods done to her, and more coming. I keep tools for door removal in the Jeep for easy access, and I'm often the guy the Salespeople get when a customer comes in with the perplexed look on their face and asks for help with the soft top.

So the stage is set. My jeep is in the back. I'm in my suit and tie and am very busy as its a Saturday and we are quite busy. A young kid and his friend drive in with a 2007 - 2010 Wrangler X 2 door. With the steelies and tiny stock tires. He bought it used from a carmax and it was the first nice day so he took off his top and stopped by to ask how to remove the doors. The sales people directed him to me.

Feeling sorry for the kid because I'm sure the people a carmax didn't take the time to teach him a thing, I tell one of my sales people to pull my jeep up next to his and I'll grab the torx bit from my glove box and come out to show him how to take the doors off.

Salesman pulls my jeep next to his, I free myself up and go outside, inevitably the kid must have been feeling a little emasculated as my jeep was a bit bigger
But he still found it in him to try and lay on the sarcasm. He points to his, and points back to mine, and asks; "want to make a deal and trade even up?"

Without missing a beat, I stop. Look at his and back at mine, and say...

"Well that's cute, I didn't know they made them in little girl sizes too!"

I seriously thought his friend was going to pee his pants with laughter.

I did help the young lad out and showed him a thing or to.
Hopefully down the road he comes back and buys a big boy toy from us later. I'm sure "little girl jeep" or not, he'll be hooked like the rest of us!

And no offense to all the girl jeepers here. But I saw the shot and HAD to take it

That's funny. I always referred to mine as a baby and pointed at lifted ones, saying that my Jeep wanted to NBC that when it grew up.
And now it is *sniff*

All my friends drive '99 to '01 f150 trucks. They all scoffed at me for getting my jeep, saying I "paid way too much for little performance."

I scoffed at them yesterday as I drove around one of their stuck trucks in 3 feet of mud and pulled them out with little to no effort THROUGH the mud. Seeing it took 3 of their trucks to hardly budge the stuck truck, and it took me a few minutes to completely drag him out.
