I had someone comment late last week that they thought my unlimited looked more like an H3. I resisted the urge to scream.

No doubt. I'd be hard pressed to even let someone move it if it was in the way of their car. I'd just do it myself!

Pretty much anything said by YJOverkill on this http://www.wranglerforum.com/f8/what...yj-254920.html thread is about the stupidest stuff I've heard about JKs.

We have some visitors in from Shanghai, China and I took them to dinner. We all rode in the JKUR ('13 with 4:10's and stock build). I do have a dynomax evo kit on it, so the exhaust note is a bit loud. They commented:

"we've never been in such a powerful car"

When all you're used to is 1.8 micro cars, I suppose a Jeep is powerful.

I'd had the doors and top off my Rubicon for weeks... Well the Monsoon started here in CO so I put everything back on. I met one of my clients and she stated, "Oh I see you got your Jeep put back together....what did that cost you?" LOL

I think so. I was at a light in a city area by myself, jeep completely naked. And a guy crosses the street with his girl and stops next to my jeep and asked "you take the doors off yourself?" I responded "it's a jeep!" "Is it hard to do?" I responded "no, takes 10 minutes" he said "word! I didn't know that!"

It just blows my mind. Out of all the vehicles in the world... The JEEP is the staple and has been around just about the longest. (Current models of course). I always figured JEEP was known for not having tops, doors, ac, etc.

Eating dinner at a drive-in tonight an older gentleman in a newer BMW 325i convertible pulled up and asked if I wanted to trade for the weekend, I told him he probably wouldn't want his bimmer back after I got done with it.

When people tell me that I should've gotten an H3. I tell them that they reduced the size of the H3 to try and replicate the JK.

They tell me the H3 is much more dependable since its a GM product. I tell them, "then why were they discontinued?"

I drove some classmates out to a restaurant a while back and I had the doors and top off and they thought it was just the coolest thing they've seen! Then while we were on the road multiple jeeps passed me and I was waving to them, well my passengers noticed and soon began "jeep hunting" and waved at every other jeep that passed. I definitely turned them into jeep fans! This post may fall under a different category than silly things people say but some posts just reminded me.

I have a good friend who just bought a Camaro. We are both driving down to a church retreat in a few weeks and he asked me if we could swap vehicles for the 200-mile drive down there.
He used to drive a YJ and I think he secretly regrets not buying a Jeep a year or so ago when he bought the Camaro.

I've got a 2013 Commando Green JKUR with a 6.4 Hemi. I'm thinking its a nice Jeep.

My brother, who is two years older than me, sees it for the first time yesterday, and says; "that color is horrible, it looks like calf shit." Then when he sees the 6.4 L vvt V8 logo on the side of the body he says "Oh man, why did you get the 6.4 option, that thing is going to get horrible gas mileage".

I thought it was kind of funny. He has no clue that you can't buy one of these with a 6.4 in it from Chrysler.

rolled into youth soccer with the kid in our '13 JKU Sahara -- top off, doors off -- and a dad comes up admiring the Jeep and says: "Man I really want to get one of these - is it good? I've been looking at them for years"

I proceed to tell him Jeeps are amazing, this is easily the best vehicle I've ever owned, and if he could make it work with his family, it would add years to his life.

He sighs and shakes his head, mutters something to himself, and finally slumps his shoulders saying "...but i got 4 kids."

Poor guy.
