My daughter (14) asks on the way to Church this morning "is this like a real Jeep that can go offroad or not?"

I guess I need to get it muddy more. But in my defense we just moved to Jacksonville and I aint got no friends to go play with.

Sitting at lunch today, and see this guy at the table next to us look out the window at my Jeep with snorkel and tell the people at the table:

"Look at that Jeep there. It has the muffler up high so you can go through deep water up to the roof"

Lol...

I was sitting at a light yesterday. Guy in the car next to me asked if the Jeep was a convertible, if the top came down. I have a soft top on the Jeep.

Agreed, but I thank my coworkers for buying their high mileage vehicles so they are offsetting my 12-13 mpg. It all evens out that way and everybody's happy.

To be fair, Jeep did go through those couple of years when some imbecile decided the Unlimited should be offered in 2wd. One of the biggest automotive gaffes ever.

A guy at work asked me the other day if I knew who drove the Jeep in the parking lot with the "leaf appliqués" on it. My Jeep:

Yeah, the dude actually said appliqués. I asked him if he felt more manly parking his Honda next to a Jeep. He said it just made him feel inadequate. I'd say that's about right. LOL.

I deliver pizza in my 98 TJ (I know, big mistake. Gas is a killer, but I cant stand driving my parents' car. lol) and I pulled up to a house with kids playing in the street. I got out and they were looking at me funny, and I just said "Pizza guy." And this girl, maybe 10 goes "So a pizza guy drives a Hummer?" Some kid next to her goes "That's a Jeep, idiot!" My hero.

Similar convo with with a girl on our kickball team. She told me her husband's Jeep was a "real" Jeep because it was a Wrangler and the top goes down. I told her mine was also a "real" Jeep (2013 10A Rubicon) and the top comes off. She just wouldn't believe my hard top would come off. She called her husband to "prove" she was right, and turned bright red as he explained it very clearly to her. Ha Ha!

Speaking of "real Jeeps", I had someone ask me if I had a stick shift. I replied that no, mine is an automatic. The guy said, "That's not a real Jeep..."
